Trudy V Myers

 Things aren't always what they seem. 

Trudy has been writing since at least the 4th grade. She sold her first 2 stories in 2015, one to an anthology and the other to a small press. Her second book was put out by that same small press.

Although she tried several times to make her way through college, life kept intruding, and she hasn't made it yet. At her last attempt, her major was mathematics and her minor was physics (which is just another name for more math!). She also spent a number of years working in the city library system, where she learned how to research a wide range of topics.

When Trudy finally retired from her day job in 2010, she soon discovered that her knowledge of science was too old to let her effectively write science fiction, so she opted to write fantasy while she self-studied the state of modern science. She is still studying science—it changes so quickly!—but she is beginning to delve into writing sf, as well as other genres.

Trudy writes fantasy using her real name, Trudy V. Myers, but she uses various pen names for other genres. For instance, Linda (NMI) Joy is the pen name she uses for romance.

Linda (NMI) Joy is the pen name used by Trudy V. Myers when she writes romance. She is finishing up 2 sweet romances that MoonPhaze hopes to publish in 2021. They are in her Small Town Happiness series, set in the small village of Belgrade, Nebraska. The first is tentatively scheduled for a July 2021 release.

Trudy V Myers will be in charge of the MoonPhaze table at Necronomicon in Tampa, FL, in September, 2021. This will be her 2nd time at Necronomicon, the first time as a dealer, so come by and see what we've got!

We have tentatively scheduled "Hank's Widow", a contemporary sweet romance by Linda (NMI) Joy (AKA Trudy V Myers) to be released in July 2021. This is the first in her Small Town Happiness series, and the first story set in her own tiny hometown of Belgrade, Nebraska.

Ms Myers wears a lot of hats here at MoonPhaze. She sometimes gets to write for an hour or two in the afternoon, but most of her writing is done at night, between the hours of 9 and midnight. If she is away from home, perhaps at a convention, she may take her laptop or paper and pen and write the next scene(s) of her current Work in Progress and then transfer them to her main file when she gets home.

Ms Myers has her own office and her own computer, an ancient hp that still works relatively well. She uses the internet to do research and check her word selection on an online dictionary/thesaurus site. Some nights she finds herself doing more research than writing, but she wants her details to be right.

She has been writing at least since the 4th grade. She has always had a number of stories in her head that wanted to be put on paper. Now that she is retired from her day job, she is working to get that done.

Although Ms Myers enjoys going to sf conventions, she is an introvert by nature. She enjoys writing, but also reading, and she has a number of creative hobbies to help keep her occupied while she recharges.
